How you can help the Center:

  If you would like to help us help others, come learn about the programs and services we offer. We need your positive energy and support for the success of our programs. Your tax deductible financial gifts are welcome

Volunteer Program

  Listed below are some of the various ways that we could use your time and talents.  Please look them over and Contact Us if you are interested in becoming one of our highly appreciated volunteers!


Administrative Volunteer

Duties Include
You may select from the list below
  •
Making copies
  •
Organizing / stocking supplies
  •
Helping w/ large mailings
  •
Shred old documents
  •
Organize files and paperwork
  •
Sort documents

Qualifications
  •
Organizational ability
  •
Some experience with office  equipment
  •
Ability to work with others


Outreach Speakers

Duties Include
You may select from the list below
  • Giving presentations on the Centers'
            - Services
            - History
            - Mission
  • Assisting with Health Fairs and other service sites
  • Replenishing and monitoring distribution of brochures
  • Co-presenting at large functions
  • Translate for non-English speaking participants for general information gathering
  • Develop a rotation of out reach site for speakers


Qualifications
  • Agreement with Mission of Center
  • Public speaking experience - preferred
  • Ability to meet and mix comfortably with others
  • Ability to transport yourself to site independently
  • Phone (preferred)
  • Familiarity with peace and nonviolence issues


Event Coordination

Duties Include
You may select from the list below

  • Organize and develop speaking engagements, fairs, etc...
  • Coordinate volunteers and supplies

Qualifications
  • Well organized
  • Well networked


Maintenance Person

Duties Include
You may select from the list below

  • Small repairs requiring no special training
  • Painting
  • General maintenance
  • Lawn and yard maintenance
  • Planting flowers
  • Snow removal
  • Weatherization

Qualifications
  • Organized
  • Ability to come prepared
